We source certified organic seeds from GTR Seeds in neighboring Oregon. They are one of the world's leading, wholly independent cannabis breeding companies, and they have developed multiple award-winning hemp varieties trusted by farmers across the country.

This is where we intervene as little as possible. We let our hemp grow the way that nature works best, organically. Every June, we transplant our seedlings out into the field where they spend the next 4 months growing tall and healthy. We never use conventional herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides of any kind.

This is where our process really becomes unique. Traditionally, the entire hemp plant is hung up to dry and cure, requiring a massive amount of covered space and a tightly controlled environment. We realized that if we shucked the flowers into bags and immediately froze them, we could fit as many as 400 plants worth of flowers in a single commercial freezer. By freezing our hemp flowers within minutes of harvest, it ensures full preservation of their cannabinoids and terpenes.

Random samples of our hemp flower are sent in for contaminant testing. This is an important, but generally overlooked stage in testing. Testing the plant material at harvest proves that our crop is truly free from pesticides, heavy metals, mold and mycotoxins, and microbial growth.

Our hemp rosin is produced without any solvents. Rosin is made by pressing the hemp flower between two heated plates, releasing the essential oil of the plant. This extraction technique is rare, because it requires excellent quality hemp flower, and is far more labor intensive than solvent based extraction methods.

A sample is taken from each of our small batches of rosin, and subjected to the same contaminant testing as our flower. After verifying our rosin is clean and pure, we then submit individual samples of our end products for potency verification.
